About the Artist

Nichole Laizure is an Arizona native whose large-scale contemporary oil landscapes capture the raw, atmospheric power of the American geography and American West. Her love of art was inspired early on by her grandfather, an artist himself, who introduced her to the wonders of color, texture, and light during formative museum visits. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from Northern Arizona University, beginning her career working with publishers creating illustrations for the educational market. She later transitioned full time to fine art in her Phoenix studio. Working on large canvases that can reach up to sixty inches, her paintings focus on capturing the light that defines the terrain and stormy skies through a combination of brushwork and texture.

Deeply rooted in the power of memory and emotion, Nichole views her art as a connection, offering viewers a space to pause, feel, and revisit memories of their own. Every brushstroke is an intentional effort to capture the essence of a place or a moment, transforming each landscape into a quiet exchange between viewer and canvas. Her paintings can be found in private and public collections throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe.
